Every Wednesday evening a local church community serves a community meal in Oxford. This meal provides not only nourishment for the hungry, but is also a way to socialize with other people, make new friends, and connect to other local services. In addition to receiving healthy food, basic household and/or hygiene items are made available to help people stretch their budget. There is no income minimum. Take-out is also available.
Faith Lutheran serves the Table on the second Wednesday of each month.
At the Table we serve our neighbors and friends a hot meal and offer pantry goods. We begin set up at 5:00 pm. If you are able to help provide a mail dish, dessert, salad, snacks, or help with set up, take out orders, or clean up, please reach out to the church office.
Monthly schedule:
- 1st Wednesday: Oxford United Methodist (14 N Poplar Street)
- 2nd Wednesday: Faith Lutheran (420 S Campus Ave)
- 3rd Wednesday: St Mary’s Catholic (111 E High Street)
- 4th Wednesday: Holy Trinity Episcopalian (25 E Walnut Street)
- 5th Wednesday: Oxford Presbyterian (Seminary building- corner of Poplar and Church)
